Mini Map

The mini map is a small copy of the Live map that floats above your other windows. You can keep an eye on the dots while you browse or work in another tab.

Opening the mini map

  1. On the Live map, find the column of map buttons in the top right.
  2. Click the top button, Open mini-map.
  3. The mini map opens in its own small window, showing the same view as the main map.

Using the mini map

  • Switch to another tab or app. The mini map stays on top, so you can still see the dots.
  • Drag the window to move it out of the way, and drag its edges to make it bigger or smaller.
  • To go back to the full map, click the button in the top right of the mini map window. It takes you straight back to the map’s tab.
  • To close the mini map, close its window.

Click the button in the top right of the mini map to go back to the full map.

When you might not see it

  • The mini map only works on a computer, in browsers that support floating windows, such as Chrome and Edge. In other browsers, and on phones and tablets, the Open mini-map button isn’t shown.
  • It isn’t available on a map embedded in another website. Open the map on the Follow My Challenge website instead.
