The checkpoint position changes section looks at participants who have experienced the biggest gain or loss in position when going from one checkpoint to the next. Each table shows the top 10 gains or losses, ranked by the magnitude of position change.
This metric is more useful for free route events, where positions only update at checkpoints. It highlights participants who have have risen substantially up the rankings, as well as those who have dropped down significantly. And it pinpoints where these changes occurred during the event.
